Project Background:
BT operate two secure, high availability datacentres for private and public sector clients. The datacentres house much of the IT services, not only for the Northern Ireland Civil Service but also the wider public sector. The importance of these data centers underscores the critical need for dependable UPS backup systems to ensure uninterrupted operation in the event of a power quality problems including outage.

Project Solution:
Continu designed, installed and maintain a range of UPS systems, including Riello and APC Schnieder Electric as well as related backup accessories. The BT data centres represent one of the largest data centres in NI. The ongoing service support for BT has been maintained by Continu for five plus years and ensures BT are fully supported by the Continu dedicated team, backed up by direct access to original OEM parts and equipment.

Project Results:
BT selected Continu to supply, install and maintain the backup power at these critical facilities. The crucial nature of our data centres means that uninterruptible power supply is absolutely vital in order for us to ensure our operations run smoothly at all times.
